Web Gem: Sloth info you need to have

Last week we looked into the Kristin Bell sloth story that was all the rage on the internet.

Sure, we had our fun with it...but then Bruce (of the Lake Stevens Tens) alerted me to a video from Animal Planet that intersects the topic of sloths with another topics near and dear to our hearts...

Watch and learn:

A sloth only goes once a week, so it's something to be savored. (Which probably explains the "poo dance" part)

  We were in a National Park in Costa Rica and got to witness one of these blessed events first hand. Dozens of tourists gathered around, and not one offered the poor guy a magazine.

  Luke & Jen, If you grew up in the ghetto as I did, you would know that "clean behind yourself" means "clean up after yourself" in 'hood slang. (It was at a courthouse, right? Just sayin'...) But that doesn't mean you shouldn't clean your behind, too.

  All your concerns about swimming with sealions sounded completely valid, but I have to say it was probably the best snorkeling experience I ever had. The young ones are super playful. There was one somewhat scary moment when the younger one nearest me sort of froze and stopped playing, and I saw a massive male swim along below me. But as soon as he passed by, all the kids started playing again. Sealion poop is vile, though, unlike sloth poop (apparently).
