Was a gorgeous day snowshoeing in the Reflection Lake/Paradise area. Lots of other people there not watching the game. None of us missed it. I still don't even know what the score was.

Seattle viaduct, west lake saturday nights, old gray city she ain't what she used to be.

I'm a self proclaimed teacher on this one and I give this student, Washington State, an A+ grade. I've travelled around the states via hitchhiking and the Navy. The Navy also showed me much of the orient, Hawaii, Alaska, and Tijuana. As far as pure beauty and climate goes no other place on the planet holds a candle to Washington State. From left to right we have the peninsula and the San Juan Islands. Then there's everything in the Seatle longitude. The Cascades are breathtaking. I never get tired of seeing Mount Baker or Mount Ranier. If you like it hot you can go east of the Mountains. I actually don't care too much for the people in my town but the State of Washington is my best friend and gets my highest grade for performance on the sheer beauty front. The climate is almost perfect. There is no substitute for a day in the 70's and the bad weather does a good job of keeping undesireables out of the state. I get a kick out of it when people complain about how bad the weather is around here. It gives me hope that they will move and leave me and my prized student alone with those who know a good thing when they got it.

Now if only we can eradicate that flesh-eating disease Progressivism thats crawling all over in skin can we truely live in a beautiful state andhave peace of mind. Nice photos.

There is so much I love about the Great Pacific Northwest - the water, the mountains, the green, the clouds (yes sometimes), the generally mild weather, etc. It is a beautiful place to live. But... I hate what the government has become. Seattle and King County are run by the most extreme of leftists. In the recent past this area was politically moderate but is now far left and is often the butt of jokes - even from the left. I mean, how messed up must one be to think voting for McSchwinn is a good idea...? Seattle is run by and for the most extreme minorities. It is sad to watch the gradual death of such a beautiful city.

I love my home state but this is just as beautiful but lacks the lakes....I love then enviroment, but have little hope or nice things to say about the eviromentalist or the politics.
