American Music Awards 2011: Fashion Hits and (Major) Misses
Did anyone watch the American Music Awards Sunday night? I caught glimpses of it – and in between Jennifer Lopez’s over-choreographed performance with blatant product placement and Taylor Swift’s three wins (yawn), I wasn’t too impressed…except for the fashion.
And while Taylor Swift annoys the living daylights out of me, I still have to admit she looked beautiful in her shimmery gold gown. Jennifer 
Hudson looked crazy amazing in her metallic mini dress. And say what you want about Selena Gomez. She may have absolutely NO talent (oh wait, that’s me saying it), but she looked stunning in her long, silk champagne dress that was incredibly sophisticated.
But there were definitely some major misses, including Christina Aguilera’s silver bandage dress, which made her look like an overstuffed sausage. The big, poufy hair didn’t help either. Does she not realize that she can’t wear ultra-short, tight dresses anymore?! And Katy Perry? Did you see her? Who would wear anything that looks remotely like a scroll with pink paint splattered all over it? She can do a lot better. And don’t even get me started on Nicky Minage. She looked like the evil witch in Hansel and Gretel.
