PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A jury has sided with more than 120 current and former Les Schwab Tire Center assistant managers, finding the Bend-based retailer routinely failed to pay them for working overtime.

The Oregonian reports ( http://is.gd/Pjd9Fo) the jury ruled that Les Schwab worked its assistant managers 66 hours a week on average, including every other Saturday.

One of Oregon's largest retailers, Les Schwab employs more than 7,000 people at its 425 tire stores in the western U.S. The company deemed the assistant managers exempt from state laws requiring that they be paid time-and-a-half for hours worked beyond a regular 40-hour workweek.

Les Schwab says it disagrees with the court ruling Tuesday and expects to appeal. The trial now moves to a penalty phase.
