SEATTLE (AP) - A man fatally shot in Seattle early Sunday was a Texas man serving in the Navy and assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, which is being overhauled in Bremerton.
The Navy says 25-year-old Petty Officer 3rd Class Gregory Wayne Anderson Jr. of Fresno served as a member of the magazine crew, responsible for ordnance stowage and assembly. In Bremerton, he was assigned to the in-port security force.
Police say Anderson was shot and two other men suffered minor injuries in a fight as a crowd emptied from a nightclub.
Police said witnesses were "less than forthcoming" and no suspect information is available.
